The Position
As a Systems Support Engineer at Intrepid, you will balance systems engineering & end-user support tasks with routine administration. This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you will work cross-functionally with other tech professionals to build robust support.
This is a permanent full-time position based in Colombo, we believe vaccines play a critical role in the safe return of travel. To ensure our workplaces are safe, we require proof of Covid-19 vaccination when you work from an Intrepid office, attend company events or travel on trips.
No two days are the same but some of the tasks you’ll take the lead on are:
- Providing technical solutions by providing end-user support and prioritizing issues
- Performing diagnosis of system and software components to identify root cause and acting or recommending corrective action for resolution.
- Work on the different technologies/product and troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Act as the Shift lead in the shift and take ownership to ensure that the shift is run smoothly.
- Mentor and train associate engineers on best practices and troubleshooting, and automation.
Some of the experience you’ll bring with you is:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from a recognized University.
- 3-4 Years of experience in a supporting role in a Help desk environment.
- Strong understanding of ITIL framework (Incident /Problem and change management process)
- Exposure to Cloud Environment and hand on experience in Windows client and server operating systems such as Windows 10 and server 2012/2016 and 2019 is highly regarded
